90 Prisoners Accept Christ in Spain
Many prisoners listened as Pedro told them about the love of God the Father in searching for lost mankind, about the obedience of Jesus the Son in dying for their sins personally on the cross of Calvary, and the power of the Holy Spirit of God to transform their lives from the inside out. After Pedro preached, forty prisoners responded with the desire to accept Christ. Since then, fifty more have accepted Christ and have been baptized. Pedro and his team have planted ten new churches within the cell blocks of the prison. The family members of the prisoners were astonished at the changes in their loved ones. 150 of the prisoners’ family members have met with Pedro and the music evangelists to surrender their lives to Christ, also. For two years, Pedro Espada had been invited by prison officials to preach in the Puerto III prison near his home. Pedro is a theological student at the Al Andalus Theological College in Sevilla, Spain. In January, Pedro agreed to take six of his certificate-level students into the prison to hold a flamenco music outreach with preaching. Puerto III is the largest prison in Europe, located in the Cádiz province of Spain.
